TeleClasses: Turning your learning into coaching!
The TeleClasses are group training sessions done over a normal telephone. You will call a number in the USA and be connected with other participants. The six two-hour calls consist of interactive teaching, discussion, demonstration and role plays. The TeleClasses are designed to get you into action coaching with others.
TeleClasses may be new to you, but it's a great way to learn and interact from a distance. Plus, it gives you practice using the telephone as a coaching & learning tool.
Here's a description of each TeleClass:
TeleClass #1: Preparing to Coach
This TeleClass helps you view yourself as coaches and begin coaching. Several exercises help you to find ways talk about coaching that will be personalized, natural, and attractive to others. The goal is that you begin coaching right away. Or, if you are already actively coaching others, the goal is to reframe/clarify your current coaching relationships.
TeleClass #2: Setting Coaching Series Goals
This TeleClass focuses on the first coaching session. We will practice setting goals for a series of coaching sessions. We've found that a large, well-defined goal at the begin of a coaching series will make the following individual coaching sessions easier to do and more productive and satisfying. We'll also talk about the usefulness of coaching agreements.
TeleClass #3: Coaching Change
This TeleClass focuses on how to coach change in others. Motivations powerfully affect the ability to change. You will learn the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivations and how to tap into and enhance a client’s motivations. Then, how to create a change-supportive environment.
TeleClass #4: Coaching Tools
This TeleClass introduces 3 coaching tools that you can use with your coaching clients. Each is powerful in bringing focus and change to the client. Coaches will experience these tools during the TeleClass, and then be prepared to use them with their clients.
TeleClass #5: Creating A Coaching Culture
This TeleClass introduces the concept of a coaching culture and involves participants in identifying ways to move their organizations toward a coaching culture. You will learn to use the Coaching Culture Self-Assessment, a tool they can use with your organization and clients.
TeleClass #6: Solidify Learning, Evaluation, & Celebration
At this TeleClass we will assess our results, think about next learning steps, and celebrate how far we've come. Come ready to share and celebrate together how far we have each come, and how far we've helped clients to go!
