Aston Tropicana Hotel (www.astontropicana.com) is located in the heart of Bandung on Jl. Cihampelas No. 125-129 - Premier Plaza, just a short walk from some of Bandung’s best shopping and dining. The meeting room at the Aston provides a very comfortable setting for the training program in a central location. (For more information on accommodations, see lodging below)
Schedule
This program totals 60 hours of coach-specific training. There are additional requirements beyond class sessions. See "Program Requirements" below. (For a shorter, 2-3 day coach training see our "Leader As Coach" Workshop.)
In-person training November 15-19, 2010 in Bandung, Indonesia.
Interactive training using a variety of learning styles. Plenty of practice is incorporated into the schedule.
TeleClasses on six days.
Group training sessions done over a normal telephone. You will call a number in the USA and be connected with other participants. The six two-hour calls consist of interactive teaching, discussion, demonstration and role plays. Full descriptions are here.

Lodging
Lodging is available at The Aston Tropicana Hotel. A corporate group rate is available per night for Rp. 568,000 (63 USD) weekdays and Rp. 668,000 (74 USD) weekend (Please note that room rates for Wed, Nov 17 will be the same as weekend prices because it is a national holiday). These prices include a full buffet breakfast. To reserve a room at these rates, do not book online, but rather contact us directly at maria@pinnacleindonesia.com, and we will ensure that your room is reserved. If you would like help finding a roommate, contact us and we will try to introduce you to another participant.
Alternative lodging is also available at Cihampelas Hotel, which is walking distance from the training location, for prices starting at Rp. 250,000 (28 USD) per night. Rooms can be booked online.
Travel
Those traveling from outside of Indonesia can fly into Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta (Airport Code: CGK) or directly to Husein Sastranegara International Airport in Bandung (Airport Code: BDO) through Air Asia (www.airasia.com). If you are flying into Jakarta, there are numerous modes of public transportation that will take you to Bandung. Please contact us with questions or for more information. If flying into Bandung, the airport taxi counter is just outside of the baggage area exit. A taxi from the airport to the Aston hotel costs approximately 50,000 Rp and takes approximately 20-30 min.
Plan to arrive anytime on November 14th and depart anytime November 20th. The program begins at 8:30am Nov. 15 and ends 6:00pm Nov 19. Please do not schedule flights that will make you arrive late to the Program or leave early.
Visa Info
A 30 day visa-on-arrival is offered for citizens of most countries at both the Jakarta and Bandung international airports (A list of these countries is here). You can find the Visa-on-arrival booth between the exit gate and immigration at both airports. The cost is 25 USD. Be sure that your passport has a minimum of six months validity remaining and that you have a return or onward journey ticket in hand.
Currency
The Indonesian currency is called Rupiah and is approximately valued at 1 USD = 9000 IDR. Dollars can be exchanged at both the Jakarta and Bandung airport, however the exchange locket in Bandung closes in the late afternoon, so this may not be available for those arriving after 4pm. Both airports have ATM machines that accept most International cards (Plus, Cirrus, or Visa) from which you can withdraw Indonesian Rupiah. If you plan to exchange dollars into Rupiah, be aware that bills with older series numbers or bills that are wrinkled or folded may receive a lower exchange rate.
Prerequisites
A desire to coach others in a must! Participants are expected to complete all the course requirements. If at this time you are not able to commit the required effort to the development of your coaching skills, consider waiting for another session when your schedule can accommodate.
Reading List
It is very helpful to your in-person training if you've done a bit of reading on coaching prior to attending. We require one book, Leadership Coaching, by Tony Stoltzfus. We've arranged a discount for you here. There's an ebook available as well. A further reading list is here.
Program Requirements
The program is designed to best prepare you to gain the skills and knowledge needed to coach well. You must be prepared to focus on developing your coaching skills for a number of months in order to meet these requirements.
- Attend all class sessions*.
- Complete a core coaching skills self-evaluation.
- Coach at least three people for a minimum of 25 hours total (details).
- Complete coaching practicum assignments.
You have 18 months from the beginning of the course to complete the requirements.
* Missing more than 10 minutes of a session is considered an incomplete hour that would need to be made up privately. Sessions may be made up privately at a rate of US$50 per hour.
Certificates
After successfully completing all requirements of the Coaching Core Skills Certificate Program, you will receive a certificate from Creative Results Management (CRM) recognizing your accomplishment.

The Core Coaching Skills Certificate Program is not ICF accredited. This program is designed to meet or exceed ICF standards based on ICF Core Competencies, but does not guarantee ICF acceptance. Cancellations
Creative Results Management reserves the right to cancel a program for any reason and to refund fees paid directly to CRM by registrants for that program.
Refunds
The payment of Fees represents a commitment to your training as a coach. Creative Results Management has a 45 day refund policy. If you wish to withdraw from a program you must inform Creative Results Management in writing. If we receive your notification more than 60 days before your registered event, your fee or deposit will be refunded, less a $100 USD administration fee. If we receive your notification within 44 and 15 days before your registered event, 50% of your fee will be refunded. No refunds will be considered within 15 days of the event, although you may transfer your registration to a different person to attend the same event.
